RHGC Water System Maintenance: Tuesday, April 21 through Thursday, April 23, from 9:00 am – 4:00 pm
Oak Harbor Water Management will be conducting a full system flush of the main water lines during the dates listed above. This is a routine procedure to clear sediment from the main lines and ensure the continued reliability of your water system. This is a change from our previous flushing procedure. Water quality is such that flushing should go mostly unnoticed by community members.
RESIDENT RECOMMENDATIONS:
Water Usage: While water will remain available, please consider cutting back on water usage between the hours of 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM to assist with the flushing process.
Discoloration: You may experience temporary water discoloration or a slight drop in pressure. If your water appears yellow or cloudy, simply turn on an outside hose spigot and let it run for 10–15 minutes until it clears.
We recommend checking that your water runs clear from an outside faucet before running indoor appliances like dishwashers or washing machines during this window. Thank you for your cooperation as we perform this essential maintenance.
